Megacity of the Future. New Space for Living

The Moscow Urban Forum 2018 took place from 17 to 18 July 2018 in Zaryadye Park in Moscow.

Competition among leading megacities is shifting to the sphere of the striving for substance and meaningfulness in the life of citizens, and their involvement in what is happening. The Forum became a major international event for sharing the best practices and current issues of modern megacities, as well as opportunities and trends in the sustainable development of cities and urban agglomerations.

The 8th Forum was attended by more than 7,000 participants, among them federal and city authorities, architects, business leaders, researchers, representatives of city administrations, urban activists, urbanists, startupers and urban residents.

125 foreign speakers and representatives of international official delegations participated from more than 35 countries. Plenary sessions, panel discussions, presentations and master classes – were full of thought-provoking and idea-driven discussions of the most urgent issues on the development of future megacities.
